In the News: I'm awarded the Sisterhood Award (PLEASE IGNORE PINK SCARF)

Gina Collia-Suzuki has just awarded me with the 'Sisterhood Award'! (Now, obviously she meant to give this award to my mom, so DON'T GET ANY WRONG IDEAS!)

So on my mom's behalf, thank you, Gina! This is quite an honor.

If only my mom wouldn't have taken the award name too seriously and adorned me with a pink scarf! Mayra really has a sadistic sense of humor--don't be fooled by all those sweet children's stories she writes! While she put the scarf on me, my human little sister (her accomplice) took a surprise photo with her cell phone. As soon as we're left alone in the living room without my mom around, I'm going to bully her and cover her new pants with drool. Let's see who'll be the last to laugh.

So, I shall now pass the Sisterhood Award to the following ten lady bloggers I admire (sorry guys, this is a VERY sexist award):

Donna McDine, Write What Inspires You
Shari Lyle-Soffe, Out of My Mind
Margot Finke, Margot Finke's Books for Kids
Dixie Phyllips, From the Heart of Dixie
Lucy Coats, Scribble City Central
Lea Schizas, The Writing Jungle
Cheryl Malandrinos, The Book Connection
April, Cafe of Dreams
Jo Ann Hernandez, BronzeWord
Morgan Mandel, Double M's

These are the rules...

1. Put the logo on your blog or post.
2. Nominate at least 10 blogs which show great attitude and/or gratitude!
3. Be sure to link to your nominees within your post.
4. Let them know that they have received this award by commenting on their blog.
5. Share the love and link to this post and to the person from whom you received your award.

Look at My Angel Eyes...

More news, my dear pets!

Willow the Dandie continues to make headlines in the doggie world! Now he has started his own blog, Dandie Dog Blog.

He was upset when he learned I had interviewed Osiris the Cat. He accussed me of lowering myself... But I told him it was no good for my blog business to be prejudiced against stuck-up cats...

On his post today, Willow put an innocent photo of his 'angel' eyes. I told him I can also look as sweet and innocent anytime I want, and here's the photo to prove it.

I'm becoming famous... and I LIKE it!

In fact, I was so happy, I jumped in the mud!

Publicist and Virtual Book Tour Coordinator Angela Wilson blogged about me on her popular blog, Market My Novel.

Also, author Raul Ramos y Sanchez (winner of the International Latino Book Award for Best Novel 2008, no less!) tweetered about Pets and Authors. Raul's fish, Barry, will be stopping by this April to give us the lowdown. I'm looking forward to that! (evil doggie grin)

There have been some more developments for Willow the Dandy, who was my first interviewee a few days ago. After he appeared here and hijacked Lucy Coat's blog the next day, some dude from an important terrier club invited him to write an article for their 100th anniversary magazine issue.

Dear pets: if you appear here on my blog, only good things are on the horizon for you... fame and fortune await you!

My author mom, Mayra Calvani, has been trying to steal my spotlight and take credit for this blog idea--how dare she? Let me roll in the mud a bit more, that should teach her a lesson....

Doggy News: Willow the Dandie Hijacks Lucy Coats' Blog

Okay, here's the deal.

Willow' mom, author Lucy Coats, found out about my interview with Willow yesterday and grounded him for 'spilling the beans'. Or so she says. Maybe she's trying to maintain her tough mom reputation after Willow openly claimed to be her boss.

Just in case, I sent two CIA agents over to her house yesterday. Listen, people, when I say I have connections with the CIA, I AM NOT BLUFFING!

The latest develoments: Willow hijacked her blog, Scribble City Central, this morning and has threatened to pee in her suitcase.

You may read Willow's post: 'Shock News, Dog Hijacks Blog' here.

This only proves what I've know all along, and that is that PETS RULE!

Woof! Woof!
